Isabel Astrachan, BA
Our People
Isabel is a post-baccalaureate fellow in the Department of Bioethics. She received her BA from Brown University in 2022, where she double-majored in Philosophy and Religious Studies, in addition to completing pre-medical coursework. As an undergraduate, her work focused on epistemology and the emotional and embodied aspects of belief. At the NIH, Isabel currently works on topics related to decision-making capacity, and hopes to do further research in philosophy of psychiatry and on assisted dying.
