Jorge Ochoa, BA
Jorge Ochoa is a post-baccalaureate fellow in the Department of Bioethics. He graduated from Columbia University in 2019 with a major in Neuroscience and Behavior and in Ethnicity and Race Studies. Jorge's undergraduate research focused on the medicalization and racialization of juvenile delinquency in mid-twentieth century New York City. At the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Jorge conducted public health work relating to substance use. At the NIH, he will develop projects relating to public health ethics and relating to bioethical considerations in genomics.
