Our People
Aaron Segal is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Bioethics. He received his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2022, where his dissertation investigated the nature of imperfect duties such as beneficence and gratitude, arguing that their fulfillment is sometimes owed to particular individuals. At the NIH, he plans to work on issues in research ethics related to exploitation, compensation, and risk, especially in relation to vulnerable or disadvantaged populations.
