Paul Tan is a program analyst who joined the Department of Bioethics in August 2023 to administer its programs and functions. Prior to joining Bioethics, he was with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Operations Support Division working on and managing contracts, such as the Chief Medical Officer's medical support contracts. He also managed data collection for the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS) and other collection platforms as part of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's Directorate for Epidemiology and was part of a team that treated and transitioned injured soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

He holds a BS in Management from Canisius University and a Masters in Occupational Therapy (MOT) from the University of Pittsburgh.
